The International Black Summit Network

Dear friends:

I really enjoy the weekly calls in preparation for the 2010 summit in Baltimore. The energy and support I experienced reminds me why I look forward to the first weekend in August so much.

In that spirit, I came to notice that many of us are professional educators who work in a variety of environments, concerns and contexts. As a teacher myself, it occurred to me how valuable a regular clearing event would be for me. To that end, I would like to invite other educators to form a regularly scheduled call in which we clear ourselves and listen to each other clear. I have no expectations around the conversation. I am open to see what the experience may bring.

Please let me know if you are interested.

I am a retired teacher. I worked with the Los Angeles Unified School District for 30 years. I have retired from getting up at a certain time, report to a certain location, and a certain set of children, however that doesn't mean I have stopped from providing my assistance in education. It doesn't matter where I travel on this globe three things show up around me and they are education, youth, leadership.Talking this in mind I have created the Youth Global Leadership Academic Development(Y-GLAD) where there is an exposure, training, and connection of Youth Leadership. I have started a conversation with New York. Please join me on our group page and sign up to be part of this group. Claudy would love to talk with you about a converstation we started in Florida about opening schools and universities. I see these as borderless and digital structures vs a building siting in a certain location. I would love to hear from other educators who see something inthis conversation.. Thank you for this opportunity. Please go to our group page and sign up with Y-GLAD
Thanks
